Snapshot of the Oldest Light in the Universe --"Reveals Clues to Its Origin"

Astrophysicists have developed a new method for calculating the effect of Rayleigh scattering on photons, potentially allowing researchers to better understand the formation of the Universe. The CMB is the oldest light in the universe, which originated when electrons combined with protons to form the first atoms. These primordial atoms were also the first to Rayleigh scatter light.

UBC theoretical cosmology graduate student Elham Alipour, UBC physicist Kris Sigurdson and Ohio State University astrophysicist Christopher Hirata probed the effect of Rayleigh scattering -- the process that makes the sky appear blue when the Sun's photons are scattered by molecules in the atmosphere -- on the cosmic microwave background (CMB). "Detecting the Rayleigh signal is challenging because the frequency range where Rayleigh scattering has the biggest effect is contaminated by 'noise' and foregrounds, such as galactic dust," lead author Elham Alipour said.

Are you presuming that He is no longer creating? TORH only states that He rested. It doesn’t say He quite ...

That’s an interesting question. In “this” universe, based on what we’ve discovered - and have yet to discover - it seems like everything contained in it was already here from its creation. In other words, it doesn’t seem inconsistent with the known laws of physics.

Now, if one subscribes to M-Theory, for which there does seem considerable “low-energy” evidence, combined with experiments coming out of the SSC in Geneva (ie, possible Higgs particle), then one may also envision a multiplicity of universes, constantly being created, even with some “spilling over” from one universe to another. Note the discovery of a super massive black hole witnessed near the edge of our known universe. By current theory it shouldn’t be there as our universe would not have had enough time for such a massive amount of material to accumulate. Yet there it is. Is it possible that we may be seeing an object having migrated to our universe from another, older cosmic field somewhat outside of our own?

Questions such as these beg for further research.

I feel confident however that God is in All, and that if the multiverse is structured in such a way, that there is a divine purpose therein.

Other than that, I don’t have a clue...yet.

Allow me to share a few 'clues'.

Daniel Chapter five shows us that a realm of reality exists no further away from you than the length of an arm, yet it is totally obscured from us by some means, and in that scene someone reaches from 'there' to Belshazzar's palace party central room and writes on the wall.

In 2Kings 6:15 - 17 The prophet asks God to 'open the eyes' of his student, to allow him to see what Elisha saw surrounding the armies the student feared had encircled he and the Prophet and doomed them.

Jesus went some where/when from the stone tomb, without rolling away the stone. Jesus appeared from some where/when to meet with the gathered, sacred disciples in the locked and shuttered upper room.

An Angel appeared beside Peter locked in chains in a prison and changed something/somewhen/somewhere to have the chains just drop away and the heavy barred gate to open for them to leave the prison.

And there are many more examples of a reality we can neither sense directly as 4D beings nor access at will as 4D beings. BUT, and this is vital, in 1John3:2 John says that when Christ appears again above the Earth, 'we' shall see Him as He really IS, so we shall be like Him. As a Christian I believe He is now a multi-dimensional being, as He was before incarnating to walk among us and be Messiah, the suffering Lamb of God.

Rabbis in Jesus's times and following the crucifixion and resurrection were so sure the facts in evidence in their day included Him dying, being buried, and then being resurrected that they searched the Scriptures seeking whether there were to be two messiahs, one descended as a suffering Messiah descended from Joseph, and one as Conquering King descended from David.

They did not see that Jesus has both rolls easily within His job description because of His emptying Himself and becoming a little lower than the angels, then rising from the grave taking on higher dimensional nature to ascend into Heaven again ... from whence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead.

The Rapture of the Church will be astonishing evidence that God is still creating and will be coming back to set foot on this planet again to do even more creating following the ending to sin brought about through the Great Tribulation.

Right on about 4D beings vs. God’s demonstrated abilities. Hugh Ross once said God needed access to at least 4 physical dimensions, and a minimum of two time dimensions, just to do what he’s demonstrated. I suspect He has access to more than that, even...

God has access to any and all dimensions. For years I've been pondering the implication of multidimensional reality. Something Alamo Girl wrote gave me a very large leap forward: 'without time events do not occur, and without space things do not exist.' Thus any thing in this created Universe must have aspects of space and time. This led me to postulate that dimension time has variable expressions just as dimension space does.

Simply illustrated, a photon crosses the Universe always in the present on its origin. This allows we animals to gather data of past events and mentally generate a virtual present for our existence. The eye and nervous system, the physical mechanisms, process electromagnetic dara, but portion of us not confined to the same spacetime coordinates gives the meaning to the collected data in puts. I speak of the soul, obviously, and am convinced the soul has spatio-remporal coordinates beyond the physical body but connected to those to which the body is confined.
