They talk about Sandy here in the NE as being THE STORM. In 1938 the hurricane of 1938, killed more people and caused more major destruction than Sandy did or could do

What global warming did that? The New Deal? The Hindenburg disaster the year before?( oh the humanity). Perhaps the ongoing construction of the trylon and perisphere?

If I remember about SANDY, it was a low grade hurricane, but wide, barely above a tropical storm. It hit when the tides were very high, and two storms from the north also hit at the same time. Plus it came ashore in the most populated area of the USA.

If it had been an area with less population who would have noticed?
