Gee, I wonder why this would happen? Don’t expect this to get better anytime soon.
BALTIMORE – Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake called the city’s recent spike in violence “disheartening” Thursday as police work to address a dramatic increase in homicides and nonfatal shootings.
“It’s extremely frustrating,” the mayor told reporters at a news conference. “It is disheartening, but I am still resolved to continue to reduce violent crime in our city.”
Rawlings-Blake said the city’s faced spikes in crimes in the past and police have been able to successfully reverse them. She said she’s “confident” police do so will again.
The city’s had 98 homicides so far this year, which is 42 percent higher than over the same period in 2014. Nonfatal shootings are up more than 70 percent with at least 19 people shot on Tuesday and Wednesday.

If I were a cop in Baltimore, I would try to get a police officer job in Palm Beach, Florida, Southampton, New York, Greenwich, Connecticut, or some other rich, majority white enclave.
This puts a good progressive in a moral dilemma.
One of the first thing liberals scream about needing when crime goes up, is to hire MORE cops.
How can they now claim to need more cops when they blame all cops in general for the problem in their troubled neighborhoods?
The on redeeming point is that the vast majority of shootings are thugs taking out other thugs.
Black lives matter except to other blacks. The leading cause of death for black males 15 to 34 years of age is homicide, blacks killing other blacks in 95% of the cases.
They want respect, but offer none, not even respect for human life, to others. They want money, but don’t want to earn it: They want to steal it outright it or let the government steal it for them. They make trouble wherever they go. They say they’re proud. Many will ask under their breath, proud of what?
It’s time to say enough is enough to the barbarians. Either act like a civilized human being or find some other place to act out your savagery..
