My DH’s side of the family is the same. Many of the grandchildren on his side have children out of wedlock. One is in her early twenties and is living with a guy who is twice her age with teenage/college age kids. He is still married. Together they have one baby and another on the way. Just one example. No shame.
Sometimes it’s like living in a parallel universe. I look at some of my relatives and want to ask them, “What’s it like in there?”
