A lot of people complain that religions are ways for men to control other men. Well that is exactly what a faith without grace looks like.

Exactly! It’s why I think the “Christian based” religions try to pull as much power as they can from Grace. e.g. Catholicism and Mormonism (And Southern Baptists thrown in for good measure).

Actually I’ve seen Southern Baptist done to extreme legalism (my sister in law grew up in one that said lipstick sent women to hell), and to immense grace (the place I worship at now is that way). You can’t validly tar that association with one brush.
