Some hints there for the R + L = J theory. Sansa in the crypts in front of her aunt’s statue and Littlefinger tells the story about R and L.

Later in the episode Melisandre says again that there’s power in king’s blood (descendants of kings). In this episode she was talking about Shireen (Stannis’ daughter), but she had previously said the same thing about Gendry (Robert Baratheon’s bastard son). In tonight’s episode, Melisandre told Jon that there was power in him. Was she hinting that Jon is a descended from a king and giving some support for the R + L = J theory?

I have to disagree. It is Robb Stark’s lack of honor that got him killed. He should have married Lord Walder Frey’s daughter as he had promised. Not carrying out that promise cost him, his mother, all the banner men with him and his direwolf their lives.

"E: Everyone Knows Stannis is the Mannis, Even Littlefinger!'

Everyone except that Red Witch. She'd like to get her little fingers on Jon Snow.

"Why would Danerys kill Tyrion? Was he really close enough to the death of her family to be worth killing?"

Probably because his brother (Jamie Lannister aka The Kingslayer) killed her father.

Robert Baratheon wanted Danerys assassinated. Ned Stark was against it. Through information from Danerys’ aide, Jorel, Robert Baratheon sent an assassin to poison Danerys. Jorel saved Danerys. Joffrey Baratheon, a protege of the Lannisters, inherited the throne and Danerys’ plot for revenge.

Thyrion is accused of poisoning Joffe, so Danerys will probably turn on Jorel and provide Thyrion with protection.

"...for the R + L = J Theory"

R = Rhaegar Targaryen (?) L = Lyanna (?) J = Jon Snow (?)

C: Cearsi Played Margaery well, using those Faith of the Seven Guys to strike at her Brother

Cearsi will most definitely NOT enjoy the Unintended Consequences of arming the Sparrows...

"I think that was because Mel wanted another shadow baby to take out Bolton."

Very possible. But where does Melisandre think that Jon Snow gets his power from? So far, Melisandre has only said that this power come from king's blood (Gendry and Shireen, both children of kings). Officially, Jon is the bastard child of Ned Stark, Lord of Winterfell, and a common serving girl.

Perhaps Jon's power comes from the fact that the Starks are descended from the Kings of the North. Or perhaps Jon's parentage is not what Ned said it was, and Jon is actually the son or grandson of a king lending some support to the R + L = J theory/speculation.

That was an awesome scene with Stannis and his daughter. I hope to see more of her. Despite all of the bloodshed, there is love in ..um ... Westeros? Kings Landing? Castley ? Rock??? , etc. I need to make a map or something. Actually, isn't there a guide to the books? Is it helpful for the show? Father's Day is coming up. But perhaps it should be a Mother's Day gift...😀

You are right Jon Snow seems like an idiot. He always has. Guess his red-haired flame was on to something. :)
