Still under debate, apparently.

The funny thing is, I've been in some other countries where the black/white animus wasn't as bad as in the US, or even in the UK. Perhaps it's partly a sign of the times, because that was 30 or 40 years ago, and now the political winds of revenge and Islam are whipping up the passions of the susceptible.

That may have something to do with the noticeable difference between American blacks and African blacks. African blacks and American blacks in general don’t get along all that well. It could be their “black privilege” American blacks detect and find offensive.
