I took a survival class many years ago, got so hungry I gladly ate an uncooked rat on my third day. Made a lot of mistakes that week. There is a lot of practical prepper and survival advice on the Internet.

I agree there is lots of good information. There is also too much information that is simply not applicable to any particular individual. The biggest mistake people will make is the belief that they will have any control over what happens to them or that they can make choices rather than having unanticipated choices forced upon them. People who are rigid in their plans will fail, but people who are adaptable might come through a disaster in good shape.
