Water is the first thing you should have worked on.

You are so screwed.

My new place here in Bama, an acre and a half on a 2 mile dead end road, next to crow creek, I have a deep well with generator for power, one way in and out. Lots of deer, wild turkey and fish. Will have the garden and mucho canning supplies. This is my retirement place for the rest of my life.

Laz, you may be on to something.

Dear newbieClaudeDavisPerson, fishing for prepper information...here’s what you get publicly:

We are all screwed, including you and your NSA pals.

No one here preps. We all accept our fates, except that which fed.gov allows us to have.

Via Condias & get thee to infowars...you might gin up more revenues there.

Meanwhile, piss off, drama queen.

The end.

Water is not that difficult for basic survival. Purchase survival straws, water filters, a few cans of sterno, small bottle of bleach or water purification tablets from Academy/Cabaelas or bass pro shop ....that’ll keep you alive. You may be one stinkin mess after awhile, but at least you can keep hydrated.

If you get reaaaaaal desperate, find some hard wood...oak or similar wood in a forested spot like a park. Make a fire. Get the wood nice and burnt. Smother the fire and extract the charcoal once it's cooled. Take a shirt, bandanna and fill it with the charcoal...then pulverize it. Not too fine.

Take the water from even a mud puddle and pour it through the charcoal a few times....wallah, you've just created a rudimentary charcoal filter. Most impurities will attach itself to the charcoal. Boil it to rid the bacteria. It'll keep you alive.
