4.1 Earthquake in Nort Idaho
4/23/2015 | Noumenon

Just experienced a 4.1 shaker located on the east shore of Lake Pend Oreille here in north Idaho at 7:32 PM PST. We were shaken, but not stirred. Noticed one brief almost imperceptable aftershock.

They must be injecting waste water into your rocks there. The gas/oil industry no doubt.

A town in Connecticut is Mohegan for ‘place of bad noises’ because of the trembling earth there. It is a beautiful town.

Deep rumble with gentle, continuous shaking. This morning I learned there was a 3.3 quake at 0128 on the west side of Lake PDO near the east end of Sagle Road. I slept through that one. There’s a whole lotta shakin’ goin’ on!

And it’s called ‘Silverwood’.

Whew. For a moment there, I thought you wrote socks instead of rocks.

Chinese coal seam fires, IIRC, emit more CO2 than the entire vehicle load of the planet...

No kidding. No issues with local wells or water systems so far.

Very interesting...in the last 24 hours, there were moderate quakes at the top and bottom ends of the Cascadia Subduction Zone. A 6.2 at the top near Vancouver Island, and a 5.5 down off the California coast.

Curious, eh?
