Could be an experiment. These are all long-established stores, probably with employees that have been around for a while and have worked their way to a point above the $9 rate Walmart is starting people out at. So close the store, dump the staff, replace them in 6 months with cheaper people, and reopen the store. Walmart isn't going to take a hit in sales because all these places have other stores near by. If this works then you could see an epidemic of plumbing problems.

Appears it could be a lot of things. But it does appear that Wally World’s Board came up with an excuse that will at least keep them out of the government cross hairs for now, at least on the union versus non-union issue. Will be interesting to watch it unfold.
