We have a Capresso. Does the same thing. Brother had a Cuisinart and hated it. It was a lot harder to clean than my Capresso so he got rid of the Cuisinart and got a Capresso.

That’s the new model. Ours is about 10 yrs old now and still works great.
nice looking machine ... granted the cuisinart tough to clean (but my wife takes care of that), but only a 10-cup, non-stainless, non-insulated caraffe rules out the capresso.
