Thanks for that link! It’s good to know that there are still questions and issues beyond the “open and shut” murder conviction by the media.

The issue now is whether a LEO is justified in shooting a fleeing felon who refuses to stop — assuming that assaulting a LEO is a felony in that state. If so, the officer will be exonerated of any wrongdoing.

I would comment negatively on the attitudes some folks display here, but that might be incorrectly conscrewed as ‘trolling’ rather than constructive criticism.

If I am wrongly stopped by a cop and he "assaults" me while wrongly stopping me, can I shoot him and say all is good?

No, it’s far more complicated than that, the old fleeing felon rule went out the window in 1985, but if you pay attention to the analysis at the link Slager has some defense points.
