Last night, my wife said that maybe we should beg off a coming weekend with some good (but liberal) out-of town friends were eager to have with us. She said “lets just stop by and say hello but knowing their politics, I am not all that eager to spend that much time with them.” I had been thinking the same thing. It is a shame, but divorce on a very personal level is upon us. I don’t plan to use social media (Facebook etc.) to elaborate all of this, but rather just to remove myself from anything that I know is contrary to my religious and political beliefs. I know and respect friends that are gay, politically liberal, irreligious and the like. The change in my relationship with them may be subtle but its longterm intent is profound.I hate it..but it is upon us.

He said He did not come to bring peace but His Word was a sharp sword to separate tendon from bone, children from parents. When evil takes a part of your family or community you have to let it go.
