By definition wouldn’t microagression lead to micro-guilt and micro-consequences?

Wait until they institute sharia law.

The professors insult the students intelligence when they tell them that man-made global warming is real.
If justice is served, a lot of professors are going to be in the hot seat!

Of course, not being aware of your microagression is no defense. You may not be aware that your eyes moved up 2.3 degrees when the prof mentioned gay rights! That is a microagression!
Did you breathe too much when they talked about abortion? That’ll get you expelled and fined.
Will there be “microrapes” too when a man asks a woman out?

It's interesting that the article in the college newspaper made no effort to even define "microaggression," as if the meaning of the term is obvious and universally understood. That in itself is a bad sign.
I assume that the term refers to statements or behaviors that are somehow deemed offensive or threatening, but in a way that falls short of - of what? And how can a campus be deemed "safe" and "inclusive" if everyone is walking on eggshells for fear of being publicly shamed or even disciplined for some offhand comment or gesture?
And - crucially, for an institution of higher learning - how can there be honest debate on moral, political, historical, and literary topics if the expression of some views might trigger a "microaggression" complaint?

Stealing a line from the Instapundit, to these thugs Orwell’s “1984” is not a warning but a guide book. The Stasi, KGB, and Gestapo would be proud of Ithaca College.

The very definition of a microaggression is that it isnt intended, so the very idea of taking legal action against somebody for not intending to say something that happened to be harmful is not my idea of living in a free society, he[Sophomore Joshua Kelly] explained.”
Apparently the lone sane voice on campus. He’ll be brought up on charges of insensitivity and macroaggression shortly.

Offensiveness is disagreement with the liberal agenda.
Microaggression is resistance to the liberal agenda.

And when they get rid of all the microagression they can go after nanoagression and picoaggression.

“microagression”?
Sounds to me like they’re going after free speech. Say what we approve, disagreement is aggression. And aggression is actionable.

What this will do is lead to many students refusing to talk to other students they don’t know well. Liberal fascism at its worst (best?).
