That is problematic. Our indoor lifestyle is what’s behind our vitamin D deficiency.
Time in the sun is always a good thing
I read that Vit D washes away in the shower.. or bath. Maybe it’s the soap that removes it.
Do you know what the dosage of Vit K2 should be in relation to the amount of Vit D3 taken?
Let’s say a K2 pill is 150 mcg, what would the correct dosage of Vit D be?
The reason was that it exceeded the recommended range by 17.2.
Don't know the answer to your other question.
The fact is, the doctor is just 'tagging along' with me I just tell them what I'm taking...their book says a recommended dose is 400IU daily. They know that it's too low but have no other guidance. This is the VA I'm dealing with.
I will have another blood work-up in about 6 weeks from my private doctor who just increased by testosterone shot by 200mg a month.
Excellent. I do turmeric too.
Most people wouldn’t face any overdose danger until 60,000 iu or’more.
10,000 iu is grat’for ost people b/c they don’t get enough sun.
Just take it with vitamin k2 so it can be utilized properly.
What is the reason to take Tumeric ?
Or maybe its the raindrop from the monsoon and the unseasonable spring rain that washes the vitamin D away ;)
Anyone with a brain would know to stay indoors or use an umbrella. lulu
The trouble is that for people in much of the US, north of about Charleston, it isn’t possible to get enough sunlight on your skin during at least half the year. Many people also spend most of their waking hours indoors—commuting to work in a car or train, working in an office all day, and not getting home until after 6, when the angle of the sun isn’t direct enough to benefit them. So yes, supplements may be necessary.
I am looking for my bottle of Vitamin D NOW!
I just started taking D as part of my diet after some recent stories that appeared here - Now I have to see how much I’m taking and maybe up it a bit.

I take it for my osteoarthritis. It works great. We buy the organic Tumeric by the pound then put it up in the gel caps ourselves. Mr. GG2 takes it as a general health benefit.
I have been taking turmeric on/off the last year due to a bad case of lyme arthritis that won’t go away.
I was hoping it would help but it hasn’t. Maybe I need to up my dose. How much per day do you take blam?
I can’t say for sure—do not know. But—I take a K2 tab with 100 mcg in it and take a D3 that is 2000 IU. I have raised my D count to 47 which is in the acceptable range. It has taken me a bit more than a year and frankly, I’ve begun taking 2 of each daily lately.
We do not want to overdo it, but do not think that what I am taking will be too much.
bfl
I don't take it every day or even a set dose. I just 'sprinkle' it on just about everything.
