It is demographics. The average IQ in the United States is 100, in Mexico it is 90 and continues to decline among the ones Obama wants to import. (It is racist of me to point that out.) Common Core will finish off the United States, as per its design. Political correctness requires you to “celebrate” that daily. If you don’t, you are racist.

Many foreign countries stratify their high schools and post secondary schools. If we are comparing our, broad based, mainstreamed high school and college to their top level we will not compare well.

It is interesting to note the wording of question #6 in the Civil Government section of the that test:

"Name three RIGHTS given Congress by the Constitution...."

Back in 1912 people still knew who the government was of, by and for.

The USA average IQ was 100 about 35 or 40 years ago, when the population was about 270 Million. Now the average IQ in the USA is 98, and the population is now 318.9 Million. In a population this size, a two-point drop in average IQ over 35 years represents a plunge into the abyss.

Mexico is at 88 average IQ. Many of the African nations "providing" the USA with willing immigrants are down in the 70s and 60s. Forrest Gump would be so proud.

I don't think it's so much that the kids are stupid as that they are uninformed/ignorant. The school system is designed NOT to educate them, but to train them to be obedient assembly-line workers.

I bookmarked that site. According to Common Core, if the teachers and schools don’t turn these low IQ students into “B” students, they will be punished. Here in Louisiana, as per Jindal’s initiative, the teachers will be fired and their certification will be revoked. And, for making these observations, I am a racist.

Carter has the longest speech, by far. Since Taft, nobody has much exceeded 7000 words... other than Carter's 32,000 in 1979!!!! His previous speech was 3200. Oy!!

This isn’t surprising. America is in a downward spiral from education, morals, economics, politics and common sense. On this season’s CBS “Survivor”, there’s a college prof who taught a “Survivor” course.

Most of the highest spending school districts are among the absolute worst in terms of performance. Check out DCs numbers sometime. It isn't the money allocated, it is WHERE it is allocated. When it is spent on pools and stadiums and extra psychologists and assistant principals and union pensions and superintendent staffs (I've seen 13 employees in a small district office before) and security staff and security systems (rather than tossing out the incorrigibles) and every feel-good liberal program... then you get less education.

When you enforce rules, discipline, and a learning environment, you really don't need a lot of cash or distractions (especially misapplied technology) to train 20-30 brains for 8 hours per day. Sadly, our culture no longer permits that, and no amount of money you throw at the problem will fix it. The system is "broke", not the budget.

It's actually even more slanted than that. Most other countries do not include all of their students in their scores. The US is one of the few to include ALL students, with no exceptions. Several nations only include students who are in AP classes or are on college-bound tracks in their reported average scores.

Education under liberal control in America is not about education but about social engineering and socialist indoctrination.

Liberal American education is characterized by being:

• in free fall by comparison to the quality of other nations
• while cost goes through the roof, outstripping inflation. (Windfall profiteering, anyone?)

Liberalism destroys everything it controls.
