I read the article. There is nothing in it other than what Walker has said in the past. The trouble the left has in going after Walker now is that they already fired all their bullets in his three elections as Wis. Governor and failed all three times. The only dirt they will uncover now are things they will make up.
Correct.
Of course this is rank hypocracy. But it should also be expected. Better for everyone to have it happen now, and as visciously as possible to both get it out of the way and to test Walker’s ability to respond and acclimate him to having to do so.
I’m somewhat reminded of what happened to ex-VA Governor McDonnell during his campaign. The Dems had planned to drop an October Surprise, his supposedly anti-woman thesis, and spend the last few weeks of the campaign focusing almost exclusively on it.
Problem is that the thesis hit the press in early September (I think). The Dems had to jump on it early. This gave McDonnell time to recover, the issue had burned out within a few weeks and it became clear that the Dems had no backup plan for mounting a campaign that didn’t focus on that thesis.
