The Crusades, if I remember correctly from my high school history, were an effort to regain Christian territories from Muslim invaders.
There is much to criticize in the actions of some in Christian history, but one wonders why, with some exceptions (Westboro “church, for one), most Christian denominations managed to overcome the nutters.
It is frightening to think we will have to go all “Crusader” on the radical Westboro Muslims if we are to save western civilization.

IIRC, Mud Slime invaded southern Europe in about the year 800 A.D. They spread like gonorrhea spreads, from this town to that town. Like the disease they are, they killed, disabled and began taking over countries until they occupied most all of Western Europe.
Eventually, Western Europeans raised a large army and counter-attacked, killing and disabling the ragheads, then finally driving them back into the toilets they came from.
The occupation lasted 400 years or more, leaving us terms like “Black Irish.”
This period 800 A.D. -> was their last serious attempt at establishing a world wide caliphate. Now, we’re watching the sequel.
