I had a schizoprenic off his meds try to stab my partner with a ballpoint pen once. we fought for 10 minutes to get the pen out of his hand and the cuffs on him. It felt like a century. oh yeah, the guy was 60+ skinny and about 5’8”. adrenaline is a hell of a drug.

I’m thinking that is kinda the point of the folks here that are saying “police now are too quick on the trigger”.
I’m kinda disappointed in many of the posts from both sides though.
OK. After watching the video, I’m wondering what in the hell the cops were thinking. 1st cop especially.
Am I surprised she got shot? Heck no, that’s what cops do now. Apparently. I guess handcuffs are an afterthought now?
Of course nothing will happen to the cops because, after all, the 90 lb girl did have a weapon. After all...
Wonder why, after the first cop put her in the chair. And then after she got up, threw her to the ground...why after all that didn’t he think of putting her in cuffs?
Maybe he was just saving her for target practice?
I agree. Not a lot of introspection in some of the posts. A lot of kneejerk, off the cuff reactions.
