If everyone got their “fair share”, the lazy moochers who are the current beneficiaries of our Welfare State would get nothing and the productive would keep their money.

We need a Coolidge Revolution.

Coolidge speaks of taxes and the burden imposed on the people by taxation

One of the greatest favors that can be bestowed upon the American people is economy in government.

The only “unfair” is the amount of GOVERNMENT jobs and their salaries.

And what percentage of those jobs’ main purpose is to attain money from the citizens of this country???

And they get paid big bucks FROM that money to do so!!!

Why we aren’t outraged enough to pull out the tar and feathers, I’ll never know.

That’s something I don’t understand. The top 10% of income earners in 2011 paid about 68% of the total tax revenue collected by the IRS. The bottom 10% not only paid nothing, but were subsidized to the tune of about $32000 per year. So, when the Chief Idiot says the rich aren’t paying their fair share, he’s right. They are paying far too much. I say lower the Federal Income Tax rate to a max of, say, 20%, step back and watch how the market expands. The “rich” responds to such incentives. As to all the bleeding-heart liberals, tell me this: How many of you were hired by a poor person?

It's funny how Obama talks about fair share. When I hear him talk, it usual hear the part about everyone paying their fair share, which means that I would have to pay more. I don't listen closely when he talks about anyone getting their fair share. Sure, I know about Obama phones, cash for clunkers, "free" health care, and "free" this and that, but makers don't want anything of the free stuff from government, so we don't listen very closely to the "what-you-get" part other than the tax bill.

I suppose that takers don't hear the part about makers having to pay more - every thing is just magically free.

It brings up the question: What is the governments "fair share"?

Government employees seem to get paid much more than their counterparts in private enterprise. When are we going to right size the government and our employees?

Can someone please explain to me why it’s the wealthy that drone on and on about this subject. Why don’t they just shut up and parcel out their millions to the ones they think got shortchanged? We don’t have it and they do so pony up, folks.

Example: Jeff Green with his five mansions who is in Davos telling folks that Americans must lower their expectations. Doesn’t everyone own a home with 23 bathrooms? No one is going to convince me that all of his billions were legally acquired!!!!!

” People start businesses in their garage and become multimillionaires. Laborers work their lives building retirement funds that are invested in “Big Business,” making them shareholders, not oppressed workers. Legal immigrants start at the bottom, sweeping floors, and eventually start companies that eventually employ hundreds or thousands of people.”

Here’s the problem: We don’t teach this to the children. THEY are the captive audience, in their schools, of the left.
