Don’t forget WWII and Vietnam veteran Carlos Hathcock with
95 confirmed. Also, all their brothers formerly and now serving.
Sounds like a good movie but my wife and I decided we didn’t want to experience the “F”-bombs exploding all around this guy and the audience.
Guess we’ll wait for the edited version on TV.
From Canada? Thanks!
I saw it today and it was a great movie; very intense at times and very apropos. Go see it if you haven’t and prepare for a packed theater. Ours is normally half-empty and today was a packed house.
Cinematography alone, hands down the best war movie since Saving Private Ryan - even better I’d say. The movie took you into the mind and soul of this guy - the good, bad and ugly.
And it doesn’t preach to you. It’s so good, it doesn’t have to.
But in my opinion, what pisses a ‘few’ on the left more than ever (yeah, if you really look around, there aren’t THAT many important people pissed about it), is that between the Sony debacle and nose-diving revenues of Big Hollywood, this (the Pro-American Genre) is the new template for profit-making movies...
... and that’s what driving the commies bat$hit crazy.
just my $0.02
The movie as done over one hundred million in a week.
Why does anyone give a “uck what Michael Moore thinks. It is pretty clear that what he thinks doesn’t really matter.
I just saw ‘American Sniper’.
I hope no one saw me slinking away at the end of the movie, snottering all over myself.
I also snottered for America and her Congress because they are still under the allusion that Islam is a ROP.
I will see it, at least based on FR reviews, comments.
As for the F-bombs... They don't bother me, but my mom really notices that when we go to movies and she didn't even mention it last night. I think it bothers her more when it's used as an embellishment bordering on the ridiculous (think any Tarantino movie). But when there is enemy fire zinging over a guy's head and there is an honest reason for the swearing... You don't notice it so much.
LOL!
In the movie “The Last Picture Show” Ben Johnson initially refused the part of “Sam The Lion” because of the language.
They agreed to take out the foul language and he took the part. I don’t guess it hurt too much as he won an Oscar for the part.
Saw it today. Crowded Theater. Silent as the credits rolled. Powerful. Focused on the man’s devotion to his country. The opposite of what passes as a hero today.
Just returned from watching American Sniper.
Never been to a movie theater as quiet as today.
Powerful movie ... a must see.
I saw the movie today, and I loved it. Except the ending, which made me cry. I thought the movie was exceptionally well done. As for the F-bombs, heck-—you hear worse than that in a NYC high school classroom or on a subway. Just have to ignore it.
Michael Moore has payload envy...
I just saw it today.
A stunningly well done film about a solder and his family.
Being far away from those you love is always hard.
Also, we are loosing far too many great Conservatives in this conflict.
Lets try not to loose anymore.
