That has been my observation too. If you are Black, you get a lot of slack. People are far less likely to call you on issues or shortcomings, or even argue with you, for fear of looking like a racist. Basically, you nearly have to ruin the company or organization before you get fired. I think almost all Blacks realize this, but some really take advantage of it. Conversely, people know this, which is why most organizations can only tolerate a few of these individuals—making it totally unfair to those Blacks who really want to work and get ahead on the merits. This is something that is real, but never gets discussed.
I’ve sold to Blacks, I’ve been hired by Blacks, I’ve worked for and with Blacks. A middle class Black American in attitude, dress and drive can write their own tick in America today. There is such a demand for Blacks on the success track and sadly there are far too few. There are far too many ghetto, hip-hop blacks, where all the crime and violence among Black Americans come from. This soft bigotry of low expectations is destroying these Blacks. It is sick and evil what the Democrats, Sharpton, Jackson and all their lampreys trolling alongside have done to Black Americans.
