If the Republican rank and file were voting today for Speaker of the U.S. House, we all know who would win. And it certainly wouldn't be John Boehner. It wouldn't even be close.
Conservatives across the fruited plain know too well by now that Boehner's governing coalition is not with them, but with Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama. Boehner's repeated abandonment of the Hastert rule, which was that no legislation would move in the House unless it was supported by at least a majority of the majority, and his seeking of Democrat votes to pass legislation that is hostile to the conservative agenda, the congressman from Ohio has shown all too vividly where his loyalties lie. And it is not with the base of the GOP.
There are times in American politics when an individual politician comes to personify a set of policies, or a course of political action. Today's vote for House Speaker is one of those times.
The choice is clear: your Republican member of Congress can vote for the status quo, which amounts to the healing of Barack Obama's status through 2016 as a lame duck president, or it can vote to set a new course that is in keeping with the clear cut conservative message sent by the voters in 2014.
The vote is still a few hours away. Light up those phone lines to Capitol Hill, RIGHT NOW! Make it clear to them that any vote for John Boehner today will earn them a serious primary challenge in just a few short months!
BUMP.
Yes they do!

I called my representative. It took three minutes to get through.
Boehner is handing out political favors right now to secure the necessary votes. Its just the reality of how the corrupt process works.
After the dust settles, voters need to call their reps and let them know they were watching this “process” and will hold them accountable in two short years. Don’t let them off the hook!
I’m ticked! Mo Brooks is a yes vote.
Good for Jim Bridenstine.
I told 3 congressmen from my state that Boner was Tokyo Rose on steroids for funding Obamacare for another year even when every GOP rep said that they were going to defund it as top priority.
If Boner stays the conservatives should start the Liberty Conservative party. We should turn our backs on the GOP like the NYPD does when Deblasio is around
Point at the branch and show 'em the rope.
Just got off phone with my tool’s staff member. Blake Farenthold, Rc TX-27 (c for compromised) and he “has not decided how he will vote.” REALLY ! So, in other words, Blake will vote yes if he wants to keep NAS Corpus Christi open and needs additional funding for that new bridge downtown.
Apparently, they still count his Seat. LET’S DO THIS!

Nope. 434 current Reps / 2 = 217. Thus the need for 218 to be a majority.
Get a hundred more people to call. Make him fear his constituents more than he fears Boehner.
see my post #4 for direct contact info - main switchboard was jammed yesterday but got right through to a live person at my Rep’s local and DC offices as well as Gohmert’s DC office (to say thanks and I support him).
My congressman’s office is being swampped this morning as we speak, by callers against the establishment. Calls running 95-5 in favor of a new speaker. Since the congressman has eyes on a future senate run, maybe he’ll listen.
I don’t know. I was hoping to be able to listen to it on CSPAN over the Internet (won’t be close to a TV). Given the interest in this, maybe breitbart.com or the blaze or another site(s) will stream it.
Ya never know.
If Boner stays the conservatives should start the Liberty Conservative party. We should turn our backs on the GOP like the NYPD does when Deblasio is around

Totally agree with you. GOP is already a lost cause IMO. How many more times are its voters willing to be deceived?
If Boehner got the boot, the stock market would likely rally. :)
