This means user fees (like the Universal Service Fee garbage), and all kinds of red tape. The balance of power is simple: market-driven industries must serve the MARKET (customers like me and you), while regulated industries serve the REGULATORS (the government). Would you like to keep the power you have over ISPs or cede it to the government?
