When seconds count, the police are minutes away. People OUGHT to be prepared to self help. As long as justice is done, it doesn’t matter if the law shows up at all, ever.

I read the article or letter you posted. I agree with its speculation that cops will do the minimum (or less, if they can get away with it). My sentiment is “so what?”
