Agreed.
I read the article or letter you posted. I agree with its speculation that cops will do the minimum (or less, if they can get away with it). My sentiment is “so what?”
Cop-haters are all over FR with relentless anti-cop propaganda.
I'm sure some are working for Sharpton.
The anti-cop stuff on FR is of the “Dead Cop” variety and not conservative in any way.
The cop haters here are alive and well.
They actually search out anti-cop articles and post them,accompanied by the same 3 or 4 tedious jokes.
It’s been going on for a couple of years.
Most annoying,but they seem to get some sort of satisfaction in it. A real turn-on I guess.

"Cop-haters" is a very subjective term. I'm sure some of my (justified) criticism of police overreach (in any of the areas I cited) might be categorized by you as "cop hating", when I have no such motivation.
It's so easy to write that sentence.... and then you get to stuff any criticism of police overreach by repeating this sort of sentence.
Well, writing your sentence and implementing it are orders of magnitude different in difficulty.
Here, let me hit you with this: You don't like Obama and his Executive Order tyranny, right?
"Well, go take care of Obama and if you don't like his Executive Orders, then change the laws."
Now I can simply dismiss any of your criticisms of Obama by simply repeating that sentence.
We don't want the federal government involved in local cop business, do we?
Or, is this one of those exceptions that Washington much solved for us?

I demonstrated (apparently effectively) that your dismissal of anyone's concerns about police was nearly impossible to implement (as are my counters about Obama), yet somehow you smugly assumed it was a winning dismissal.
It is not. People have valid concerns about a rapidly-militarizing, detached-from-the-public, overly aggressive and overreaching police, and your casual dismissal of those concerns ("Go fix it") is no more realistic than my retort of "Go fix Obama".

No ma'am. We are free to disparage, however, those police that disregard the Constitution. We are free to criticize those police who view all citizens as 'perps that have not yet been caught'. We are free to be concerned about police that show up in military gear, with military personal equipment and military tactics, for a police job. We are free to be upset about those police who shoot dogs without justification and nearly without provocation. We are free to become enraged at police who, instead of serving a simple warrant, exercise 'dynamic entry' and SWAT tactics when such actions are clearly not justified.
Also, we are free to be pleased with those cops who do not do any of the above. We are free to mourn good cops who are gunned down by criminals.
See, you exhibit all the signs of a binary thinker. Either we must love all police, or we must hate all police, seems to be your view. I do not share that view.

You could probably repost the comment by phrasing it more delicately. You are not entirely off base on your premise, you just should reword it. For example: Do not hold the KKK up as a good critique of black culture, because they are not. They were ignorantly against all blacks, no matter their behavior. We are against BEHAVIORS, not races.
Exactly what was the KKK right about?
