One of the best was we were rushing home to Ohio from NYC because Hubby's father had died. Hubby was speeding. We got pulled over.
The state trooper said "where's the fire?" Hubby said "My father died". Trooper asked him to step out of the car. They talked for a long time. He sent us on our way without a ticket and his heartfelt sympathy. He aksed Hubby to slow down as Hubby's Mom didn't need more grief and neither did we. Nice officer. Very kind.
I’m sure that there are many, many more positive stories that could be told about our police than there are negative stories, but why would the media focus on them?
