That’s the story here in Seattle, true or not. One reason it’s thought true is because Tate, when the news first broke, made a big announcement that he wasn’t banging Wilson’s wife, when no one had even mentioned his name. Then there’s the trade - to many it didn’t make sense that a leading receiver on a team that had just won the SB would be so eager to get out of town...
The story circulated locally here in Seattle, and both Wilson and the club have been ‘no comment’ on the issue. All of it has been acknowledged, and it was a big reason why Tate was traded. Tate was an issue prior to the affair. Amazing talent, but not much of it migrated past his upper lip.
