I would like to wait about a year, and do a survey of real estate prices before the shooting and after. Black homeowners will lose billions in real estate equity. No one will want to move there or start a business there. Businesses will leave, and then who will want to live in a violent area with no stores? Anyone who owns property in Ferguson is trapped in it now, and it doesn't even matter if the buildings aren't looted. In fact, people who lose their buildings but are insured and can start over somewhere else may be the lucky ones.
But it’s of course irrationally racist for property owners to want to sell and move out as quickly as possible when blacks start to move into an area?
Get ready for stories of ‘food deserts’ ‘clothing deserts’ ‘gas deserts’ and the rest due to ‘racism’ across America.
Wat we actually need are MSM deserts. Things would improve spectacularly with no audience for the ferals and pols to perform for.
To understand the full extent of the screwage inflicted on these business owners, this can’t be said enough:
Insurance will not pay for this. There will be no insurance check to fund a new start. And they will still be on the hook for the lost inventory, outstanding business debts, etc.
Even if people may want to leave, if they own a house or business, they can't. Property values are in the dumpster. I don't know if insurance covers riot damage.
So when the place turns into Detroit, Jr. everyone will have a fit and point their fingers at the police department.
Very sad state of affairs.
