We are lousy with coyotes here in GA and in the suburbs. Some are part dog and larger. We have had a couple of them take a run at our Chuhuahua while out walking but scared them off. Oncea coyote followed me home as I was walking our Beagle. Mr. GG2 went out to his truck awhile later and it was sitting behind our garbage can. We take a gun just walking around the neighborhood.

Yep they are all over Georgia. When I hunt the land owners asks us to shoot all coyotes on site. Including of course any hogs encountered.

A similar thing happened to me just a few weeks ago but my property is in rural Alabama. The coyote was either brave, stupid or rabid, I did not know, but he would not leave. My female GSD, who is on a cable run, was going nuts. I shot him and thru his carcass into the woods. It was gone the next day.

Hadn't seen a coyote since, though I hear them yipping sometimes at night. I did hear some loud howls and noises last night—though it sounded weird. Then all the rain started.
