There is NO coincidence where Leftists or Muslims are involved.
They ALWAYS do these things on anniversaries of important events (important to Leftists and Muslims, that is).
If Obama were Muslim, I would assume today was chosen because of their cultural affinity for significant dates. The media have assured us for years that Obama really is a Christian and continued to wonder why we have so much trouble recognizing that obvious fact - obvious because they have told us repeatedly. If I didn't have the assurance of MSNBC, NYT, and other unbiased sources, I would think you were right.
