When you start observing alliances, and realize what they have in common, you can only come to one of a few conclusions, and I think this one fits best.
There are so many duped people involved in this. Many of the illegals themselves don’t grasp what they are facilitating.
Ultimately, they are killing the golden goose, and they have no idea what that means.
The United States is actually turning into Mexico in very literal terms.
We’ll wind up with no middle class, and all but a few connected people will be very very poor.
Makes me wonder how the run-of-the-mill IA fells about being used as a tool. Assuming they even realize it’s happening.
Iirc the Southwestern US was purchased by the US from Mexico, just like the big chunk extending from Louisianna to the Pacific Northwest was purchased from France.
Why don’t we just offer to sell it back to them? We take the estimated natural resources value, plus the GDP value of that area for the next 100 years, plus the per-capita portion of the national debt and a reasonable markup (like the remainder of the US debt) and use it as a reserve, with the land going to the highest bidder above the reserve.
With payment in cash. Or gold, silver, diamonds, etc.
I’m guessing Mexico and the Atzlan folks can’t do that. But maybe China (or China + Russia) can. See how the Atzlan folks enjoy living as a Chinese colony.
” Well wind up with no middle class, and all but a few connected people will be very very poor.”
Obama’s dream.
I don’t think they can understand it. For them it kind of boils down to racism. They can’t fathom that our nation can’t take care of them all. After they’ve been here for ten to twenty years, I think it begins to dawn on them as they can see stresses, crime, ghetto neighborhoods and all.
I’ve had some frank conversations with in-laws of Mexican heritage. They’re not very happy with this at all. They know what’s up.
I keep trying to explain to people, that the very first people to be hurt by new illegal immigrants, are the immigrants who have been here long enough to get a foot-hold.
Even they get undercut when the new ones show up.
It’s not just his dream either.
There are a lot of people who are very angry that there are haves and have-nots.
It just doesn’t dawn on them that someone had to work their ass off to become a have. They hate them anyway.
Then someone they know makes it, and yet they still can’t put the puzzle pieces together, even though it’s staring them in the face.
” There are a lot of people who are very angry that there are haves and have-nots.”
They only want to take OUR money. NOT theirs.
Well sure. Everything should be level.
It’s the old story once again. Give everyone $1,000,000 dollars on day one, and in five years some will have $250 million, and others will have $2.37 in loose change.
Yep. I have a friend who inherited 50 grand in 1970. By 1981, he was worth 10 million.
compound interest?
My brother-in-law got a settlement worth millions 10 years ago, now he rents a tin-roof crappy house and owes 2 months rent.
real estate.
Excellent.
It seems to me that most of the former Hispanic influence in the American West was Spanish via their Catholic missions among mainly coastal Indian tribes. During the history of Mexico there were relatively few Mexicans coming north with the exception of scattered banditos every now an then, and a few scrub settlers.
The idea of pre-Cortez Aztlan peoples ranging north is crazy too as they would have soon found themselves afoul of the Apache and Comanche plains peoples who would never have acceded to their presence, and may well in fact have turned around and eaten them instead!
