No. My mailbox is on a post by the street. They drive and deliver the mail. I assumed it was like that everywhere now. Perhaps it is a newer vs older home thing. I remember our homes back in 60s had mailboxes at the door. But homes in my area built in 70s, 80s, 90s etc have mailboxes at street. Interesting.
We live out in Bugtussle, OH, where the houses are few and far between amongst the corn fields.
The mail lady drives a truck, and she doesn’t exit the truck to put the mail in the box. No one on
Earth could walk her route and get everything delivered on time.
If she is delivering packages, however, she does bring them to the door. But we don’t have dogs.
