They are NOT Marxist; Marxism declares that the State will “whither away”. These people worship big government. They are either Socialist or Fascist; not that there is all that much difference between the two if you are not in the ruling class. Actually, not all that much difference if you ARE in the ruling class either.... But definatley NOT Marxist/communist. That philosophy cannot exist with any creatures that have self-awareness.
