Not really an issue.

Bottom of the class, top of the class, all are equal on day of graduation.

Heck, even can make fun such class standing if done right. . .and even used It to prove his ‘maverick’ credentials because he was a maverick at the academy and paid for it by earning a low class standing.

(He is a jerk, no question, but he could have spun it easily).
