Obama AG Nominee Lynch: Voter ID Laws were Passed by Racist Southerners, Must be Stopped

In a speech given at Long Beach earlier this year, President Obama's new nominee for Attorney General, Loretta Lynch, specifically called out voter ID laws as racist.

The remarks came at the end of a long speech, explaining the examples that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Nelson Mandela set for people.

Ms. Lynch then began talking about the inequities that she sees in the United States...

She continued, "50 years after the march on Washington, 50 years after the civil rights movement, we stand in this country at a time when we see people trying to take back so much of what Dr. King fought for. We stand in this country. People try and take over the State House and reverse the goals that have been made in voting in this country.

"But I'm proud to tell you that the Department of Justice has looked at these laws and looked at what's happening in the Deep South, and in my home state of North Carolina has brought lawsuits against those voting rights changes that seek to limit out ability to stand up and exercise our rights as citizens. And those lawsuits will continue."

Ms. Lynch was no doubt talking about the Justice Department's lawsuit against North Carolina to stop their voter ID laws. Eric Holder even used the same kind of language as Lynch: “Allowing limits on voting rights that disproportionately exclude minority voters would be inconsistent with our ideals as a nation,” he explained.

Will either be crammed through the lame duck Senate while Dems. still have the majority, or through recess appointment by Obama before the new Congress takes office on January 3rd.

I know she wasn't admitted to Harvard based on her intelligence. She was Affirmative Action. Question is, what singled her out among other AA applicants to get her in Harvard and Harvard Law?

Was she a loud mouth agitator in High School, or were her parents community organizers?

If a person is not willing to go through the steps to get a photo ID of some sort, why would he bother to vote?
You need an ID to cash the welfare check and a long list of other things.
Who exactly are those people who don't have any photo ID whatsoever?
Besides the very young, indigent, in hiding or illegals, who would or should not vote anyway.

Drivers Licenses and Social Security cards are wascist as well.

I believe that driving is considered a privilege in every state, not a right. I however would use her words to take exception to the requirement to show ID or fill out paperwork while exercising my Second Amendment rights.

Voter ID is racist because blacks allegedly face obstacles to getting an ID that the rest of us don’t face. Maybe it’s the legacy of slavery? Not sure why that is, but it’s an article of faith among liberals that blacks are less likely to have an ID, or have the ability to get an ID.

It's an accurate statement to say that almost every memeber of the ‘at risk community” has ID

There are many ways to obtain an ID card. You are required to have an ID card to obtain a welfare EBT card. You have ID if you have a drivers license. An an official ID card is provided to you by the Parole Board.

There are no excuses

The empty suit needs to be bitch slapped everytime he moves to do something. I see the piubies under the white hot light when it comes to who was resposible for giving them the majority. They better do what the voters elected them to do or they will be looking for work on the same line as the rats. NO REACH ACROSS THE ISLE AND LETS BE FRIENDS ITS TIME TO CRUSH THEM LIKE THE ROACHES THEY ARE

It looks like... the admin had her all teed up for confirmation and somehow did not anticipate what happened last Tuesday. Both Biden and his boss ‘expected’ to keep the Senate.

I heard some liberals saying it’s hard to get an ID. They cited the case of an old woman, who didn’t have her marriage license, and since her name changed at marriage, couldn’t use her birth certificate because it had her maiden name on it.

Even if we say, for sake of argument, that rare cases such as the above can happen, does this mean that people are somehow banned from getting an ID at all??? That doesn’t make sense.

It’s an article of faith among liberals that blacks are too stupid, lazy and incompetent to get proper ID.

Then isn’t it racist of liberals to think that blacks are too stupid and lazy to get an ID???

Dear Ms. Lynch,

I am a white Anglo-Saxon male who gets to vote ONCE per election. I am willing to show photo-identification to verify that voting status.

Please explain how this restriction on voting should not extend to everyone else who wishes to vote in local, state and national elections.

Yer a rascist for having a narrow mind that, you can see through a keyhole @ 100 yrds.

A notice will be sent forthwith indicating where and when you should report to a suitable facility where you will be furnished “A Good Citizen” coach, who will instruct and train your mind as to right and proper thoughts, as well acceptable expression, so as not to offend the thinner skinned citizens nor insult those who reside in the United States as guests of the honorable King Hessein.
