It started with Savage attacking Hannity and Rush, etc. They never responded to it, but Levin did for them. I like Savage, but he has an inferiority complex and he should not. When he is on, he may be the best radio show in the country.

It may be an inferiority complex, it may be marketing - an effort by Savage to get them to acknowledge him on their respective shows, which have much larger audiences.

Levin responded because he tends to speak freely, and he viscerally dislikes Savage .

Savage is the only “conservative” talking head I know who goes out of his way to attack other conservative talk show hosts. And I’ve heard a lot of them. That indicates to me that Savage is an incredibly insecure egomaniac.
