Terrible to lose a beloved pet like that. She has all my prayers for such loss will be hard to forget.
Another warning to all, we lost last week our precious Bernese to mushroom poisoning. Be careful and watchful, we didn’t know and now we mourn her loss. We didn’t know that about 1% of mushrooms are poisonous, we never saw her eat one but from evidence found and her symptoms, we are now certain. Go to the NAMA website and learn, it’s too late for our Holly. Accidents like these are hard to take.

We lost a JRT to something toxic in our yard, I suspect it was a moldy mushroom. Her liver was destroyed by an Aflatoxin (something moldy). It took her 3 weeks to die even after several vets tried to save her. Broke my heart. Getting another one was all that saved me from a broken heart.
