You can tell that Democrats are starting to panic. They are saying stupid things. Add to the list that includes Wendy Davis, Alison Grimes, and Mark Udall the name of First Lady Michelle Obama. She resorted to mocking Democrats as lazy and ungrammatical in hopes of motivating her dispirited base to the polls. Jeryl Bier reports in the Weekly Standard:
In speeches designed to fire up Democrats to vote in midterm elections, President Obama has at times described voters in his party as having a "congenital defect." Wednesday, First Lady Michelle Obama suggested the problem might just be that they're sleepy.
Mrs. Obama spoke at a rally in Philadelphia for the Democratic candidate for governor of Pennsylvania, Tom Wolf. In an effort to boost turnout in November, the first lady told the crowd that she runs across voters "who are like, no, I aint going to vote, or I couldnt wake up." But she stressed that every vote matters:
So this is where -- when I find people who are like, no, I aint going to vote, or I couldnt wake up, or it doesnt matter, or why -- 20 votes decided who your Governor was in 2010, and it could decide who the Governor is this time.
The first lady wasn't finished with the sleepy-voter theme. Later in her remarks, she expanded on the idea:

Her comments are racist, using words like “lazy” and “ungrammatical”. She isn’t talking about the (real) Amish.
Don't bet on it. They've treated the press like crap since day one and "journalists" still line up to kiss their asses.
Ah, an unsolicited correction from the ever popular and pedantic Free Republic “grammar police”. I’ll have to blame it on last second editing... is there some kind of online penance I should be doing to receive you’re absolution? (And yes, I spelled I that way on purpose... did it hurt your eyes as much as last time?)
