And this is written mainly for Britain, which has yet to see a confirmed case.

Epidemics are as old as recorded history. In this day and age of medicine and epidemiology there is no excuse for some restricted outbreak to go worldwide, yet it has. Not because of the contagion itself, but because of the ineptitude of world powers to do anything un-PC to contain it. period.

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...
One cool thing about an Ebola survival scenario, is that we still have all the luxuries, hot showers, flush toilets, our full kitchens, internet, and air conditioning.
One big shopping trip to the store and it’s pretty much done, assuming that you don’t have to go to work or leave the house like most people do.
Retirees and the rich, and welfare people wouldn’t have much to worry about.
You forgot shut-ins & other disabled. Or don’t we count?
It isn’t going to come through the air and into your house to get you.
Just talk to people through your front door, or install a intercom to your porch.
I didn’t think that I needed to make a list of each and every type of person that doesn’t have to leave the house and can stay at home for a few months, people collecting disability should be able to do that as well.
Some writers and many other people can afford to stay inside for a period of time, even girls who make videos from their apartment for credit card money could stay indoors for long time.
It is suspended on oxygen molecules. We know that now. Hazmat failed. This is beyond a nightmare. plastic rooms with vents and gauze to breath through— NOW!!! It will be too late. !.7 million cases in west Africa by January!! for God sakes!!

There’s no reason to believe the sick nurse did not follow protocol...They want us to believe she didn’t follow protocol because if she did, we’re all in a heap of trouble...

And I still can’t figure out how this guy’s family members did NOT get sick..they were in that house(Or so we have been told) they used the bathroom, they were around him when he got sick..yet they have NOTHING..my Mom believes the family members already knew when he arrived here that he had Ebola and they were NEVER in that apartment, that only Duncan was in there..I think its a plausible theory since not ONE family member has gotten a fever, chills, anything..if anyone would have gotten sick it would have been them
She was treating an Ebola patient at the hospital where she worked, she wasn’t sitting at home when it came through the window.
What is the plastic wrap at home supposed to do, unless you are preparing for treating a family member or neighbor at your house?
