Shealynn Stillman and Charley Gittins made history Friday night, becoming the first same-sex couple in their school's history to be crowned homecoming princesses, and perhaps even the first in their county.
The couple, who identify as pansexual, have been dating for for approximately 12 months. They said that they do not consider gender important in choosing a partner.
The school, Maria Carrillo High School of California, broke tradition and presented the winning couple with two shimmering tiaras instead of a crown and a tiara.
The crowd knew that Stillman and Gittins had won when, instead of announcing that a "prince and princess" had won, the loudspeakers said that two "princesses" had instead. The couple went on stage, were presented with their tiaras, and then embraced, flowers in hand.
Stillman and Gittins said that the victory was a dream come true, and stated that they were "the only openly gay couple on campus."

ABOLISH PUBLIC EDUCATION NOW
Is it the end of the world now?
No wonder the jihadis want to kill us.
This has obviously become a fashion, in which smelly little apes think they are being daring by doing exactly what their masters want them to do.
