There seems to be a lot of articles out there written by millenials. This country is in big trouble if this is really they way the majority of them think.

Few points ...

While Winston Churchill made that famous comment about being Liberal vs being Conservative, the young/heart vs. older/brain aspect applies to other things as well. The Baby Boomers largely underwent a transformation from the peace/love/dope 60s to Swinging 70s to the Yuppie/Greed-is-Good 80's of Ronald Reagan. This may be what the Millennials believe now, but it's not going to be what they believe 10-15 years from now.

The ones holding these views might indeed be a majority. Which means that they'll get eaten alive by their generation's minority. AND by the Xers, who will see, already are seeing those traits and figure out how to exploit them. AND quite likely the generation after them, who (if past generational experience is any indicator) will be considerably more rooted in reality.

Finally, my kids are the ones in the yet-unnamed post-Millenial generation. They're being raised based in the logic/reason-driven reality I mention above, with good morals and a solid work ethic. I'm betting that societal Darwin is going to come into play, and that they'll end up doing very well in life.

I agree. The cream will rise to the top. Ten years from now those with the bad attitudes will be trying to explain the big gaps on their resumes.

what on earth would make you think that?

Of course we all should raise our kids to be moral, hard working and honest. But you see the powerful forces at work today that will do everything it can destroy those once godly traits.

I wish it weren’t so but ignoring the obvious won’t change it. Its going to take a miracle to turn this around.
