Training unemployed vets for this is a good idea.

However, until the solar panels operate in microgrids, they won’t have much impact. When that day comes, and it will, this program might work for the vets.

I don’t see solar ever competing dollar for dollar with nuke or nat gas, much less coal.

Right now and for the foreseeable future it is going to be a niche business without heavy subsidies, and this country is flat broke, any way you cut it. As is most of the Western world.

Unemployed vets are put at the head of the line at all state unemployment agencies..have been since Vietnam and even going back to WWII it was a general gratuity to veterans to give them priority.

I don’t see this jobs program as anything more than unadulterated politics.
