I know a woman that was kidnapped, beaten, and raped for three days. While her attacker was out looking for a place to dump her body as he planned to kill her, she escaped by staggering up his basement stairs, tied up and naked, and jumped through a plate glass window and staggered to a neighbors house. When she was asked to testify, she proclaimed, “I can’t. He’s such a nice guy.”
Sad t came to this - but totally the son’s fault.
Hope this couple finds peace. At least they don’t have to lock their bedroom door anymore...and sleep with one eye open.
It isn’t always the fault of the parents. Even Adam and Eve had a bad one.
A case of “some people just need killin’.”
Shades of Marvin Gaye.
I have a sister who is not allowed in our house...schizo...would not be able to ever sleep.
Hard enough outliving your kids but to be the one who ceased their life. Prayers to him.
Here’s more about it.

Not an uncommon thing.
Violent drunks tend to use up their opportunities and frequently end up living with their elderly parents.
Same thing happened locally this spring, except in this case, the son was still breaking down the door when the cops arrived. The son survived the encounter but the report indicated he was shot multiple times in the groin by the responding officer. I suspect that slowed him down a little.
