Israel is no friend of Christians. It may not be a viscous enemy like most Muslim states, but it is no friend. In the Middle East, except in Lebanon (and not everywhere there) and the parts of Syria still controlled by the Assad regime, Christians face either the hard murderous persecution of resurgent Islam or the light persecution of being spat at in the street, having people cross the street when they approach, and being roughed up on the way home from Pascha (Easter for you Westerners) service by soldiers in Israel.
