I very often wake up evry hour on the hour all damn night even if I have to take pain killer or sleep aids

I think it might be some kind of PTSD because I wake up screaming or crying a lot

That sounds pretty bad. People need atleast 6 hours of uninterrupted sleep to be on top of their game. I would go to a sleep specialist MD (usually a pulmanologist or neurologist) maybe you have a RAM sleep disorder or obstructive apnea.

I used to wake up at 2 a.m. pretty regularly. That was when the VC used to fire rockets at us. Not every night but it was uncanny how you would wake up on the nights when they did.

I also wake up frequently crying and screaming. However, I can’t blame PTSD.

I’m just alone.

A symptom of PTSD? Maybe. More likely just a symptom of paying attention...

PTSD will do that.

In 1997, my most recent PTSD trigger was watching the death of two biker friends who were run down by a drunk.

For many years, and still, somewhat to this day, I wake up crying.

Since my mind apparently blocked out all conscious memory of the accident, I have to assume that I dream about it, often.

I also see things while awake that trigger it, such as dust flying off the road *just the right way*, because that was something I “saw” when it happened.

I wish I had an answer for you.

They tried hypnosis on me but I’m one of those trust-no-one types it won’t work on.

Nah. You probably just remember what the U.S. was like when it was still a free country. And then you realise it isn’t that way anymore.
