The property owner removing the gasoline is not an indication of anything other that they are responsible business owners. It was removed for two reasons. 1) Safety and 2) even if the rebuild, that gas would not be marketable 6 mos to a year from now. Better to remove it and put it into a tank at an active station. That is probably $30,000 to $100,000 of product depending on how much was in the tanks.

If they begin taking out the tanks, that is a sign that they don’t plan to rebuild.

I’m surprised they didn’t set those underground tanks on fire. That would have made a real impression.
