On August 10, 2014, outraged protesters looted and torched the local QuikTrip in Ferguson after 18 year-old Mike Brown was shot dead.
Now local Ferguson residents are warning officials to rebuild the businesses, Or, theres gonna be hell to pay.
CBS interviewed three young men in Ferguson, Missouri this week. One protester Gunny warned officials:
To be honest, if they dont come and restore these neighborhoods for these people, like when you gotta go travel miles to Walmart and to get gas and stuff like that, it should be right here. If they dont restore this community for people who stay here its gonna be hell to pay
A second protester chimed in:
Yeah, thats why people looting, because they cant get no jobs.

As will all suburbs of $hitcago.
Since it was an “insurrection,” the insurance companies do not have to pay either!
No, please, let the rioting citizenry please stay in the ghetto!
There’s an old saying about “Crapping where you Eat.”
Yeah, but them Newports are the best menthol smokes you can steal.
Hand it to the looters: they destroyed businesses to create jobs for the construction industry.
Turn the looters and freeloaders into workers, and make THEM rebuild the businesses they trashed.
I’m sure that it has been noted by others that this particular group of people are the only ones that when they feel abused, crap in their own nests. And they want us and our grandchildren to borrow more money to rebuild? You would have to be a fool as a private citizen to rebuild in Ferguson or even remain living there if you didn’t have that sense of entitlement.
Bttt
” second protester chimed in: Yeah, thats why people looting, because they cant get no jobs.. ..........
No. That can’t be true. This particular rioting/looting was said to be for justice and was timed as a response to the Brown shooting. So no fair pointing to it and assigning employment as a cause after the “day of outrage” regarding Brown.
No shop keeper can rebuild until after the trial or decision not to go to trial, at which point everything will be burned to the ground again.
Hey Thug: If you think rioting and looting will bring jobs to a neighborhood, you are an imbecile.
Probably need to get a hold of Slick Willy and have his “bank”, The Clinton Global Initiative jump right on it. Could get lucky and get Chelsea stop at the Quik Stop and share a few brews and joints with the locals.
Almost 1,400 jobs just on this one site within 5 miles of Ferguson.
So you looted, burned, and destroyed those businesses, but someone else should rebuild them for you? Seriously? Are you THAT crazy? If you’re going to get them back, YOU should rebuild them. That could be a positive experience, learning about business and all.
“....50 years later and look what they’ve done.”
Good point, and reflecting upon education 50 years ago we see that the entire system, thanks to the left, their unions, and poorly informed parents has become a farce.
Education before the Department of Education was education. Now it’s social engineering by dictate. Education is indoctrination.
not one cent to rebuild what you destroyed!
Fix it yourselves!
Why don’t they have jobs, thought Obama took care of that like 5 years ago..
My birthday is Sept. 15. I'll make a bet with you that before that date, Papa O'Dingo and his gutless band of GOP-Eers will have pledged federal tax money to "help heal Ferguson."
Here’s a thought.
Give SBA loans (with some gov funding maybe) to local residents. Or...even a protester or two. Let them rebuid and reopen the businesses.
Let them try to make a profit after loan payments, insurance and taxes and shoplifting. Add in a looting event or two. We’ll see how long it takes for the light to come on.
Newark, NJ has NEVER recovered from the 1967 riots.
Newark became a third world city starting with Kenneth Gibson, the blacks took control and the city tanked, the corruption is breathtaking.
