The Tampa Bay Times found ”’that people who killed a black person walked free 73 percent of the time, while those who killed a white person went free 59 percent of the time.”

Note this says nothing about white killers vs. black killers.

Could the disparity be because the black people killed were more likely to be the aggressors in a case of self-defense?

Since murders overwhelmingly take place where the victim has some sort of close relationship with the perp, it’s very likely that black perps escape punishment 73% of the time while white perps get off only 59% of the time.
